While this maybe the season for being grateful, this act is something which should be thought about and expressed every day of your life.  Many years ago, I started a Gratitude Journal.  This was at a time when I was struggling with fibromyalgia, when a recession had hit (not the most recent) and when my business was in flux.  I needed to recognize the positive things in my life. Every day, I would write in my journal at least 5 things for which I was grateful that day.  There were some days that it was difficult to think of even 5; on other days I breezed along and did more than five.  On the days that were difficult, I would write things like:

  • I am grateful for being able to just breath.
  • I am grateful that my pain is under a 10 today.
  • I am grateful that I can get out of bed today even though it took me 10 minutes to do it.
  • I am grateful to be able to walk without assistance.
  • I am grateful that I could work for an hour today.

What this gave me was time and reflection on the things that were going right in my life so that my mindset was on the positive – not the negative.

So what are some of things I am grateful for?  Well here you go:

  • I am so very grateful for my family – my husband is an amazing man who I am grateful for having in my life every day that passes and my two daughters who are women now – independent, confident and the best cooks around.  There is also Connor, who is our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.  He brings joy and fun into our lives as well as the ability to know when comforting is needed.
  • I am grateful for the health that I experience as well as the health of my family – the reason I work with GIA Wellness is to insure that this health we have lasts as long as it possibly can..
  • I am grateful for the business that I have and the people I get to work with in that business – they make me proud and want to do the work I do every  day.  I love seeing the business grow because I am helping women to step into their leadership role and to take on the dreams they have always wanted to realize.
  • I am grateful for my friends – they bring me wisdom, laughter, and heart felt connections.
  • I am grateful for the beauty that I see every day in nature – the glorious sunrises and sunsets, the leaf change, the animals that wander in and out of my life.

These are just five of the things I am grateful for today.  These are the people and the things that keep me on the path to realizing my dreams.  For what are you grateful or have you not even thought about them in a very long time?  What do you write down on the tough days? Join me and I will give you one more thing for which to be grateful – Your Dream Come True!  Isn’t that worth Taking the Dare?
